From cast iron pots, jaffle irons, and skillets to spun steel Bedourie camp ovens made in Australia, this is gear designed to handle fire and last the distance. Buy online and enjoy Australia wide shipping.

Our camping cookware range is always growing, with new products added regularly to suit different cooking styles and trips. Whether you are slow cooking a casserole in a cast iron pot, boiling pasta in a stainless steel stockpot, smoking fish in a portable fish smoker, or frying up chips in a skillet, there is cookware to match the way you cook. Many of our cast iron pieces come pre seasoned, so you can start cooking straight out of the box.

If you are shopping for a gift or just getting started, our campfire camping cookware sets are a great option. They include the essentials needed for reliable camp cooking and make an ideal starting point for beginners. A good camp cook set is something you only need to buy once, and with proper care it will serve you for years.

Cast iron cookware is a camping staple for good reason. It is tough, versatile, and well suited to cooking over open flames or hot coals, as well as baking in a camp oven. For those new to cast iron, starting with a skillet is a simple way to learn, as it can be used for everything from eggs and bacon to steaks and burgers.

When cooking with cast iron at camp, preheating the pan helps ensure even cooking and reduces sticking. Because cast iron holds heat exceptionally well, cooking times are often shorter than expected. After use, cleaning and lightly oiling your cookware will protect it from rust and keep it performing properly for many trips to come.

Heavy Duty Camp Cookware That Does More

Camping cookware needs to be versatile and tough. That is why we stock multi use pieces that can cook a full meal using minimal gear. From pre seasoned cast iron and spun steel Bedourie camp ovens made in Australia to practical camp oven accessories, this range is designed to keep you cooking no matter where you set up.

Many pieces are ready to use straight out of the box, so you can spend less time prepping gear and more time enjoying the fire.

Why Quality Camping Cookware Matters

Cheap cookware does not last in the bush. Quality camping cookware gives you better heat control, less sticking, and far better results when cooking over fire. Whether you are cooking a simple one pan breakfast or a long slow campfire stew, the right cookware makes the job easier and the food better.

Our cookware is also designed to pack efficiently, helping you save space without sacrificing performance.

Camping Cookware | Cast Iron Sets FAQs

What are the advantages of cast iron cookware? +

Cast iron cookware has a number of advantages over other types of cookware. For starters, it is extremely durable and can last for many years with proper care. It is also very versatile and can be used on a variety of cooking surfaces, including stovetops, grills, and campfires. Additionally, cast iron evenly distributes heat, making it ideal for cooking at high temperatures. And because it retains heat so well, cast iron can also be used for keeping food warm. Finally, cast iron cookware is relatively inexpensive, making it a great option for budget-minded cooks.

How do I season my cast iron pan? +

To season a cast iron pan, in simple terms, means to bake on multiple layers of oil. Seasoning your cast iron pan is vital to preventing rust and creating a non-stick layer. The process prepares the cast iron for cooking and a well-seasoned pan will provide many years of use if cared for properly.

To season your cast iron cookware, there are five simple steps:

  • Scrub the pot or pan clean in hot soapy water.
  • Dry thoroughly
  • Spread a thin layer of vegetable oil over the skillet including the outside and the handle. This can be done with a clean cloth or paper towel.
  • Place it upside down in an oven pre-heated to 190° and bake for one hour. We recommend putting aluminium foil underneath to catch any oil that drips off.
  • After one hour, turn the oven off and let the pot or pan cool in the oven.
You may find you’ll need to repeat the process a few times to reach this stage, but your cast iron cookware will eventually have a glossy yet hard black exterior.

How do I clean cast iron cookware? +

Cleaning and maintaining your camp oven and cast iron pans are essential to preventing rust and ensuring optimum performance. To do so, there are a few simple “do nots” that you need to remember first: do not use soap, do not use steel wool and do not put your cast iron in the dishwasher. It’s also recommended that you don’t let the cast iron soak in water as this can cause the oven or pan to rust.

To clean your cast iron, you simply need to rinse it out with hot water and a sponge or stiff brush. If your camp oven or pan has been seasoned, you shouldn’t have any trouble lifting food. If anything does get stuck, simply fill with warm water and heat until almost boiling and give it a gentle scrub. Before storing, ensure the cast iron is completely dry.
