Lamb Kebab Spit Roast Recipe
If you're looking for a delicious but quick meal cooked on a spit roaster, you can't go past a simple lamb and veggie kebab. Alternate between lamb and your favourite veggies and get your serve of meat and veg all cooked on one skewer. Better still, they just take 10 minutes to cook
Ingredients (all cut into 2.5cm pieces):
- 2kgs diced lamb
- 1 capsicum
- 1 onion
- 1 zucchini
- 4 tablespoons salt
- 2 tablespoons pepper
- dash of olive oil
- juice from 1 lemon
- and of course, add any other veggies that you like
Method:
- Mix all of the ingredients in a bowl and ideally allow to marinate for a couple of hours.
- Skewer the ingredients alternating between the meat and various veggies
- Either cook on an ordinary BBQ and remember to turn them so they don't burn, or attach them to a motorised spit roster
Attaching to the spit:
- Insert the kebab skewers into the motorised gear mechanism such as on a Cyprus Spit roaster
- Attach the Cyprus Spit motor and allow the skewer to automatically turn
