Okay, so we all know that pizza is the world's best food, right. And we also know that most of us would like to be able to make our favourite food right at home. So, what is it that you need in order to make all our wishes come true? The answer is a wood-fired pizza oven, of course.  But which to choose, clay or a stainless steel wood-fired pizza oven?
To clarify, here are the main differences:

  • Clay pizza ovens take ages to get to temperature. A stainless steel wood fired pizza oven only takes 45 minutes. 
  • Clay pizza ovens often crack if not built correctly. The stainless steel oven does not as it is stainless steel.
  • Clay pizza ovens have to remain in 1 location. You will have to build an area for it and that is it. It stays there for life. So if you move, you lose an oven. The stainless steel pizza oven is mobile and is easy to move. So if you decide to move to better pastures, you can take your oven with you.
  • Building it: To build a clay pizza oven you normally buy a pizza oven kit and it takes tons of sweat and hours to build it. With a stainless steel wood-fired pizza oven, you simply crack open the box, assemble and you ready to go in 45 minutes 
  • Looks. If you want a classic Italian countryside feel, then clay pizza ovens are the way to go. But let’s face it, we live in a world that is modern and everything is shiny. So a stainless steel wood-fired pizza is the way to go if you want the modern look.
  • Value for money: Definitely stainless steel wood-fired pizza ovens. Not only are they cheaper, but you can take them with you when you move home.

I hope this helps you decide what is best for you. My preference is obviously a wood-fired pizza oven.
